Can I compost even more than 30 liters per week in Subpod?
The Subpod team installed Subpod prototypes in Santos, Byron Bay. Santos is an organic wholefoods store and cafe that produces a lot of food scraps every week. The prototypes have been installed in the garden out the front of the cafe. Happy munchers can sit on top of a Subpod prototype while the worms and microbes munch happily away under their seat :)
Andrew has been feeding and monitoring the system and trying to optimize the system to its maximum potential.
Andrew estimates that he can add 30% more organic waste per week in an optimized system. This means up to 39 litres could be added per Subpod per week. We will continue to do optimizations on the manufactured unit and provide updates as they become available.
