Does the compost stay warm? I was thinking about putting one in a greenhouse if it has heat coming from the compost. Does the Subpod produce heat if I planted it inside a greenhouse for some heat like a mounded compost pile?
The Subpod will generate some heat as the food waste is decomposed, but it is not as hot as a mounded compost pile. The heat is likely to be localized within the Subpod and to some extent to the soil surrounding the outer walls. This is a cooler temperature style compost and is unlikely to radiate much heat into the air to warm the greenhouse.
You will need to keep the greenhouse warm a different way over winter if it gets really cold where you are or use a cold frame over the garden bed to keep the worms warm enough over winter. Here is some more information about using a Subpod in very cold conditions:
