Does the Subpod keep out cockroaches/palmetto bugs, pests and rodents?

The Subpod comes with a built in airflow panel that has holes small enough to keep out bugs, pests and rodents, whilst also allowing airflow into the Subpod.  There is a lid/seat on top which can be locked to secure the Subpod as well.

Cockroaches are most other pests are attracted to the smell of rotting food. By keeping a healthy Subpod, your food won't rot, instead it will be composted by your worms and microbes

As long as the cockroaches/palmetto bugs don’t lay eggs in your food scraps before they make it into your Subpod, then the bugs won’t make it into your Subpod.
It is best to keep your food scraps in a sealed container/caddy in your kitchen before you empty it into your Subpod.
